Mary Ann Rossoni: Artist
I have been an artist my whole life. Early on, I lacked the confidence to be a fine artist. I told myself I was not good enough and I would never be able to support myself. I was not a risk-taker. Therefore, I followed a more traditional approach and pursued illustration and graphic design - a near guaranteed weekly paycheck. Thirty years later I can say I thoroughly enjoyed my career as a designer - no regrets. Now, in my senior years, I turn back to painting - my first love.
"He who works with his hands is a laborer. He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman. He who works with his hands and his head and his heart is an artist."
~ St. Francis of Assisi
